On completion of the programme, the BSc in Nursing graduate will
- Acquire and update knowledge related to the practice of the nursing profession.
- Utilize the knowledge and concepts gained to provide holistic care to individuals / family / significant others.
- Plan and meet the health needs of individuals / family in collaboration with health team members and the concerned individual and his family (significant others).
- Provide supportive care to clients with chronic and terminal illnesses.
- Intervene appropriately in emergency situations.
- Provide care for clients and their significant others in a skillful, empathetic, supportive, compassionate and meaningful manner.
- Motivate individual / family / community to accept and adapt healthy life-style practices in accordance with the cultural background of the individual/ family/ community.
- Demonstrate effective communication skill to provide accurate, timely information and educate client / family about health issues to improve their health status.
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with members of the society.
- Assume responsibility to utilize opportunities to maximize self-development and professional growth.
