All first year students are required to submit a) a medical report from Goa Medical College & Hospital/ District Hospital/Urban Health Centre at the time of admission to the INE and b) proof of immunization against rubella, tetanus, hepatitis B.
NO student will be permitted to attend clinical duty without being immunized against rubella, tetanus and hepatitis B (not less than first two doses). Students are NOT permitted to attend clinical duty/ academic/co-curricular/extra-curricular activity when ill.
The health records of all the students will be maintained by the hostel supervisory staff. It is in the students’ interest to report relevant medical history including history of illness, allergies, medication history, COVID-19 history and any change in their health status. All hostel supervisory staff will be attentive about significant details of students’ health history.
The student shall compulsorily provide details (name, relationship, contact number and alternate contact number) of person to contact in case of emergency. It shall be the responsibility of the student to report changes if any in details of the contact person.
During the second and subsequent years all students are required to submit a medical report from GMC/District hospital/UHC before the start of the first term.
Each student is expected to have their own medication kit (ORS, pain relief, antipyretic, antispasmodic, anti-allergic, any medications prescribed), mask, face shield, gloves, cap, thermometer, hand sanitizer, liquid soap.
